Step by step
Wait for the cycle to finish
Do not try to remove the gadget while the cleaner is still processing it. Confirm the cleaning state has completed.
Make return space
Clear an available workbench or storage position so the game has somewhere to return the cleaned gadget.
Try one normal interaction
Select the completed gadget once with the normal pointer or controller action. Avoid rapid repeated inputs that make the state harder to diagnose.
Use a safe restart if it remains trapped
If the gadget cannot be selected after completion, treat it as the documented bug. Restart from a safe save point and check the latest patch notes before repeating the job.
